Bealach Na Ba revisited.

The last time I visited this testing hill was with one gear and no brakes. Not the most ideal bike to cover an 8.9km climb with a max gradient of 20%. It’s safe to say my Strava time wasn’t that great but I wasn’t at all bothered about that after I’d got to the top.

To date it’s one of the most physically testing and most beautiful climbs I’ve done since I began cycling and I can’t wait to revisit it – this time with a selection of gears and brakes!

The sportive in mention is the Bealach Mo Sportive, 90 miles with 9600ft of ascent – The conditions, as predicted, won’t be that great so I’m mentally preparing myself for a tough head wind and a very damp ride.
