For me this is a small milestone, as if you didn’t already know writing is something I struggle with, words don’t cooperate well with me and nor do how they fit beside one another. Strangely there’s something satisfying about writing and in my experience it’s helped me understand issues I’ve challenged being that of opinions or just goals I set my self and how I go about achieving them.
A huge thank you to everyone who has continued to follow this blog!
This is great opportunity to reminisce so here we have my favourite 9 posts (in no particular order/click the header to take you to the post)
It’s my second year attempting the Festive 500 and I believe this year I was more apprehensive because I knew exactly how difficult it would be. With The Trans Continental ride in sight it was a good opportunity to stretch the routes out and get some long base miles in. Of course the weather was grim and at one point I ended up sliding on my arse but that didn’t effect the over all experience especially the day the lapel came through the post.
One of the most incredible climbs I’ve done let alone sportives I’ve completed. Bealach Mor Sportive is one of the toughest in the country, the climb alone is enough to push anyone over the edge but the entire sportive is so worth it. The scenery incredible with munro’s never out of sight – without a doubt worth considering in the near future.
I’ve heard many reasons why people wont cycle to work, including experiencing torrential rain, getting hit headon by a car and experiencing crazy road rage, none of which have ever put me off. I take a look at the main reasons, again with the help of internet Doge.
My second race of the season and with a fantastic and surprising finish. Unfortunately this pretty much concluded that racing (of this nature) wasn’t for me – I though I might leave on a good note thus taking 2nd place!
